Neukölln coffee bet: donations for homeless people
Neukölln coffee bet: donations for homeless people
The district mayor Martin Hikel and the entrepreneur Michael Lind are starting their bet again for the Neuköllner cold help. Your goal is to collect as much coffee as possible in order to generate donations for money for the folding aid facilities. District Mayor Martin Hikel emphasized the important support for the homeless people in the Neukölln district and called on the citizens to donate.
This action takes place for the 5th time in a row, which has always met with great response in the past. In the first bet, a total of 150 packs of coffee were donated instead of the required 50 donations. In the middle of the pandemic, the campaign was moved to the town hall and received support from hundreds of people. Even the Reinickendorf district office took part in the campaign for the first time in 2023.
The donations can be handed over this year from January 18 to 25, 2024 in the Neukölln town hall (main entrance gate lodge). On January 26, the result is announced and coffee and the donations are distributed to the various institutions of the cold aid in Neukölln. The Reinickendorf district office also calls for donations at the same time.
For the handover on January 26, 2024 in the town hall Neukölln, interested parties receive a separate press invitation. Further information about the actions of previous years and images are available on the official website.
The following table summarizes the details of the past actions and donations:
| Year | Number of coffee packs | Donation of money from Michael Lind |
| ——- | ————————- | ————————– |
| 2020 | 400 | 1000 euros |
| 2021 | 450 | 1200 euros |
