Resignation of district councilor Dr. Almut Neumann: New occupancy planned
The district office Mitte informs that Dr. Almut Neumann, the district councilor for public space, has announced her resignation. The resignation takes place for personal and family reasons and is planned for mid -April. In order to fill the office, the district board of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen Berlin-Mitte has formed a finding commission. This is intended to select a suitable person for the reproduction, who will then be nominated in a district general meeting on April 13th. The district council is scheduled to succeed Dr. on April 25, 2024 Decide Almut Neumann.
dr. Almut Neumann was elected district councilor for order, environment, nature, streets and green spaces in November 2021. During her tenure, she campaigned for the traffic turnaround in the district. The successes include the creation of safe crossings for pedestrians, the award of the Mitte street and green area office with the German bike price as well as the establishment of bicycle paths and neighborhood blocks. A special zone was set up to contain the e-scooter chaos. In addition, measures to prepare for the consequences of climate change were implemented, such as removal measures and the creation of flower meadows to strengthen biodiversity.
The resignation of Dr. Almut Neumann is seen in the Mitte district as a loss of a committed and competent personality. Her commitment will continue to have a long time in the district. District Mayor Stefanie Remlinger regrets the resignation and wishes her all the best for the future.
