Until 31.03.2024: Submit proposals for district earnings medal

The district councilor, Jelisaweta Kamm, and the district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, announced in her press release No. 006/24 of January 18, 2024 that the district office and the district assembly in the middle of Berlin will be honored again with a district service medal for 2023. The award is to be awarded to people who have earned themselves through their voluntary commitment or outstanding personal achievements around the Mitte district of Berlin. Suggestions for the district service medal can be submitted by all citizens by March 31, 2024. The proposals are to be addressed to the press office of the district office and must contain a detailed reason with information on the person.

Every year up to eight people can be awarded the district service medal. No suggestions from people who are to be honored for activities to perform as part of their professional activity can be taken into account. The members of the district office meet the selection of the persons to be awarded together with the board of the district council and the deputy. In 2024, the award was carried out in a worthy and festive framework by the district mayor and the district councilor on behalf of the district office and the district assembly center of Berlin.

This award serves to appreciate and reward the commitment and services of the citizens of Mitte from Berlin. Volunteering plays an important role in the community and deserves recognition and appreciation. The District Merit Medal is a way to express this recognition.
