Application for pupils 2024 in Berlin: Until 08.12.2023, schools from the district can take part!

by Friday, December 8, 2023, schools from the district can apply to the youth participation service office for participation in the “Schoolchildren's Household” project for 2024. The project enables students to determine democratic participation in the use of a fixed budget. In the coming year, schools in Marzahn-Hellersdorf will have the chance to organize a choice and to coordinate over around 2,600 euros. Four schools can be added to the project. All public schools in district sponsors, including primary schools, integrated secondary schools, high schools, community schools and schools with special educational funding, are eligible to participate.

The student budget in Berlin has been coordinated by the youth participation service office since 2015. The project not only offers schools with a budget, but also pedagogical support in the form of advice, materials and workshops. This supports schools in implementing and long -term anchoring the project. By integrating the students, practical experiences and theoretical knowledge are linked.

The application for the student budget 2024 is also carried out via the youth participation service point. After the application deadline on December 8, 2023, the schools received feedback on the application at the beginning of the year. The project implementation is expected to be planned from February to November 2024.
