New increase in job opportunities: Lichtenberg's employer campaign starts

Attention, Berlin! The Lichtenberg district office starts on Friday, October 11, 2024 , a sensational employer campaign with the sonorous motto: "The mountain calls!-Your Lichtenberg at job perspectives". In a city that is known for its flat structures, this project wants to do exactly the opposite: it calls for job seekers to draw them attention to the exciting career opportunities in their district!

District Mayor Martin Schaefer (CDU) emphasizes the urgency: "The public service is in a strong competition for specialists and we too have to face this challenge." While the Berlin Senate starts large campaigns, you can tell from the districts that the response is not high enough. That is why Lichtenberg is now actively looking for new talents and proves that work in the district office is anything but boring!

a step into the future

With more than 310,000 inhabitants, Lichtenberg has established itself as the fastest growing district of the capital - and that brings a lot of challenges! The district office urgently has to refill in the field of personnel recruitment, because lack of specialists and the upcoming retirement of many employees are very worried. This is by no means just a local problem, but a phenomenon that affects many public institutions.

In order to meet these challenges, the district office invests in the upgrading of its employer brand. With a budget of around 1 million euros in the coming years, a new strategy for recruitment will be realized. The focus is on visibility: The district office would like to ensure that citizens can continue to count on their services - from building permits to the provision of social benefits.

in full trip to awareness

After an intensive analysis and the development of a strong employer brand in 2023, the Lichtenberger campaign is now implementing! Over the next four weeks, the Lichtenberger and Berliners can experience the campaign in the form of posters, online advertising, radio spots and newsletter ads. And that's not all! In November, a BVG tram will roll through Berlin in exciting brand design. In addition, brand new vehicles with Lichtenberg-Branding will be traveling to the final of the Festival of Lights-a real eye-catcher!

This exciting campaign is just the beginning! By the end of 2025, the district office, supported by a communication and media agency, will continuously work on the sharpening of its employer brand to gain new talents and fill the vacancies in the long term.
