Big summer festival celebrates 650 years of Britz in Britz Castle!
A festival for the senses: On Sunday, July 20, 2025, the annual big summer festival will take place in Britz Castle and Manor. The event is organized by the Paul Hindemith Neukölln Music School, the Neukölln Museum, the Schloss Britz Cultural Foundation and the U.S.E. gGmbH and other partners. District mayor Martin Hikel and education councilor Janine Wolter will welcome the visitors with greetings.
The summer festival is not only a cultural highlight of the 2024/25 music school year, but also an important part of the district's anniversary “650 Years of Britz”. In this context, local associations and initiatives present the history and present of the district and offer insights into important monuments and cultural places.
Diverse program
From 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., guests can enjoy a varied program. Students from the music school perform on six stages, offering a musical experience for all ages and levels. There are also numerous hands-on activities, culinary stands as well as guided tours and workshops. The offerings are so diverse that there will be something for everyone.

In addition, the permanent exhibition “99 x Neukölln” and the special exhibition “DENK MAL JAHN” are presented in the Neukölln Museum. Britz Castle shows the permanent exhibition “Living Culture of the Wilhelminian Era” as well as the special exhibition “Furniture – What you take with you are the things”.
A variety of guided tours are offered to participants, including a tour of Britz's agricultural history and the opportunity to meet animals on the estate. For those interested in crafts, there are workshops on the program, such as making beeswax candles or creating musical instruments.
