Fox Parade returns to Reinickendorf – art for all explorers!
On October 28, 2025 there will be good news about the Reinickendorf Fox Parade in Berlin. A flyer will be published today announcing the return of the artistically designed fox sculptures to safe and accessible locations in the district. The flyer presents all 20 fox sculptures as well as their talented artists and the new locations of the works of art.
The flyer also contains a detailed map of Reinickendorf, which makes it easier for citizens to discover the sculptures. District mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) invites everyone to go on an exploratory tour to enjoy the creativity, diversity and cohesion in the district. The fox parade is seen as a symbol of these aspects and promotes the communal experience.
Availability of the flyer
The flyers are available free of charge at various district facilities. These include libraries, the town hall information center and the tourist information center in Alt-Tegel. For those who prefer a digital version, the flyer can also be downloaded from the district economic development website: www.berlin.de.
The Fox Parade is not only a highlight in Reinickendorf, but also joins the tradition of public works of art throughout Berlin. Over the last 30 years, the city has gained an international reputation as an artists' paradise, hosting a variety of outstanding installations in both exhibition spaces and public spaces. One notable installation is the East Side Gallery, the largest open-air gallery in the world and designated a national monument since 1991.
Public art in Berlin
As part of its efforts to promote art in public spaces, the city's culture department also organizes city tours. These aim to draw attention to often overlooked works of art in the open air. Two tours will take place in Gütersloh on November 12th, highlighting the interest in similarly committed projects.
Both tours are free and take place in all weathers, which underlines the accessibility of art in public spaces. Registration is via the culture portal www.kulturportal-guetersloh.de possible.
Overall, the Fox Parade in Berlin shows how art can strengthen the community and promote public awareness of creative forms of expression. The combination of artistic creation and the involvement of the population creates sustainability in the cultural life of the Reinickendorf district.
