Fair Week 2025: Discover diversity and enjoyment in Dahlem!
The Fair Week 2025, the largest fair trade campaign week in Germany, will take place from September 12th to 26th under the motto “Trade fairly – experience diversity!” take place. More than 2,000 events throughout Germany will invite you to experience the diversity and positive effects of fair trade. The Fair Week has established itself as a platform that unites the commitment of producers, retailers and consumers and advances the idea of a fairer and more sustainable world. In addition to addressing global issues, special attention is paid to the stories of people who stand behind fair trade products, especially the challenges of small farmers who play a central role in global food security.
Events in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district
In the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district, which has been recognized as a Fairtrade Town since 2018 and received this award again in 2024, Fair Week is celebrated with special events. The climate protection officer Sina Haas invites you to a fair breakfast in collaboration with the local Fairtrade steering group. This will take place on Wednesday, September 17th, at 9 a.m. in the office building Auf dem Grat 2, 2nd floor, 14195 Berlin-Dahlem. In addition, the Paul Church Community World Shop at Teltower Damm 6 will be open daily from September 22nd to 26th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on September 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There, visitors can purchase a variety of fair trade products, including coffee, tea, chocolate and gifts. The world shop also collects cell phones that are no longer used for recycling, which is another step towards sustainability.
Call for participation
The Fair Week offers numerous exciting activities and events that help to make the diversity and positive effects of fair trade visible. This year the focus is on biodiversity and promoting sustainable farming methods. This is done in collaboration with fair trade partners and in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 15). The organizers call for participation and support in the activities in order to jointly spread and support the message of fair trade.
