Eisbären Berlin celebrate the second victory in a row: Kirk with Hattrick!
The Eisbären Berlin impressively regained their shape and won two games in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). First they defeated the Grizzlys Wolfsburg 3-1 on the 2nd Christmas holiday. In the first third, Leo Pföderl used an overpayment chance and scored the first goal. Zach Boychuk and Marcel Noebels continued to expand the lead, while the host only caught up for 1: 3 for a short time. A shiny goalkeeper Jonas Stettmer kept the polar bears in the game and secured the away win. On Saturday, December 28th, the convincing victory against the Schwenninger Wild Wings followed 7: 3. The Berliners started furiously and quickly led through an early goal by Ty Ronning and a hat trick by Liam Kirk.

In the sold -out arena at the Ostbahnhof, the team of coach Serge Aubin dominated the action from the start. With his four goals, Kirk demonstrated his undisputed value for the team, while Olivier Galipeau and Blaine Byron also entered the scorer list. Despite the high advantage, the polar bears decreased in the last third, where the guests scored a goal in the 43rd minute. But the clear 7: 3 victory took the superiority of the capitals, which thus consolidated the second place in the table. "We played well and quickly out of our defensive zone," Stettmer praised the team performance, as got down to business in the reporting of RBB24.
The polar bears have therefore shown that they are very defensive and offensive very strong, which makes them serious title contenders in the DEL. Next Saturday it will be again: At the next challenge in the ice hockey thriller!
