Ehringfeld as a new GdP chairman: challenges and goals
** A storm in the water glass or a new hope carrier? ** Christian Ehringfeld has taken over the reins of the police union (GdP) and introduces himself as deputy federal chairman! The experienced IT application developer from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) will now lead the GdP's fortunes in stormy times.
The Palatinate campaigner competes with an impressive career: Since entering the police in 2011 and the subsequent membership in the GdP 2012, he has quickly worked his way into trade offices. "I am happy about the trust of the delegates and will make every effort to justify it," the 33-year-old promises to the important body. However, Ehringfeld is anything but worried. "A first opportunity to do so soon arises. The unions of the public service and thus the GdP are facing a difficult tariff round," said the new tariff expert.
a new beginning according to Klemmer
The need for a choice was triggered by René Klemmer's resignation at the beginning of the year. Klemmer, who had been responsible for the tariff position since autumn 2018, has now converted into a new chapter of his career and was elected chairman of the Main Personnel Council of the Rhineland-Palatinate police. A change that is of great importance not only for the GdP, but also for the interests of the police officers across Germany.
The trade union advisory board is the highest organ of the GdP between the federal congresses. Representatives of the Federal Executive Board and the 16 regional districts meet here, all of whom work together to represent the interests of the 207,000 members - a huge support for Ehringfeld. "I will work with all of my strength to ensure that our demands are loudly and visibly supported and supported by our members," explains the new steep climber, who is determined to enforce the concerns of his colleagues in the upcoming tariff round.
may he withstand the stormy times and lead the GdP to new heights! The struggle for better working conditions has just started and the eyes are aimed at Ehringfeld!
