DNP 2024: Apply now and have sustainable partnerships in Dortmund award!

The International German Sustainability Prize 2024

The application deadline for the 17th German Sustainability Prize (DNP) was extended until July 29, 2024. This renowned price is characterized by companies that are based in their international cooperation on the sustainability goals of the global agenda 2030.

The DNP awarded companies in Germany that together with partners from the global south promote change into a sustainable economy. An important focus is on taking responsibility in the supply chains. In order to enable as many successful partnerships as possible, the application period was extended.

The price award takes place in cooperation with Wilo, a multinational technology group with headquarters in Dortmund. The International German Sustainability Prize (IDNP) recognizes cooperation that make a significant contribution to sustainability with innovative environmental and efficiency technologies.

There is special attention to the technology transfer to promote economic, social and ecological progress in the global south. The winners of the DNP are awarded as part of the 17th German sustainability day on November 29, 2024.

As a guest of honor, the general director of the United Nations organization for industrial development Unido, Dr. Gerd Müller, expected. Dr. Müller launched the award in 2018 as the then Federal Development Minister.

The German Sustainability Award is the national award for top performance of sustainability in all sectors. With six competitions and over 1,300 applicants, it is the largest price of its kind in Europe. The award is awarded by the German Sustainability Prize Foundation in cooperation with the Federal Government, municipal umbrella organizations, business associations, civil society organizations and research institutions.

The German sustainability day in Düsseldorf serves as a framework for the award and is the most visited annual communication platform on the topics of sustainable development.
