Day of printing: Exhibition, scratching, stinging - printing in dialogue from February 16 in Berlin

On March 15, 2024, the exhibition “Features, scratches, sting - printing in dialogue” opens in the municipal gallery Berlin. This exhibition is devoted to the art of printing in all its facets and shows work from the "Printing Art in Dialog" series. What is special about this project is the interactive, experimental cooperation between two or more artists: inside who work with various traditional printing techniques to create exciting new forms of print graphics. The curators of the project series are Viola Bendzko and Claudia Hartwig.

The exhibition can be visited from February 17 to May 1, 2024 and is accompanied by a supporting program. This includes, among other things, a curatorial leadership that takes place twice in March and April, as well as a workshop on the subject of "self-made-linol prints". The finissage of the exhibition will take place on May 1, 2024.

The tradition of artistic printing techniques, such as high pressure, gravure and flat pressure, were included in the list of the unesco commission on March 15, 2018. Since then on March 15, the day of printing, the liveliness of this cultural heritage has been shown to the general public in many events.

The exhibition "Feature, scratch, sting - printing in dialogue" takes place in the municipal gallery Berlin on Hohenzollerndamm 176 in 10713 Berlin. The opening times are from Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Overall, the exhibition is a unique opportunity to discover and experience the diversity and artistic quality of printing. Visitors: Inside, the opportunity to be inspired by the interactive and experimental cooperation between the artists: to inspire inside and to experience the traditional printing techniques in a completely new context.
