Two people were injured in a brutal robbery in Wilhelmstadt last night! At around 8 p.m., a 32-year-old woman and her 37-year-old companion were strolling on Wilhelmstrasse towards Spandau Town Hall when an unknown perpetrator raced past at full speed. He tore two travel bags out of the woman's hand!
The brave woman tried desperately to hold on to the bags, but the attacker allegedly stabbed her companion in the arm and upper body with a knife. A police officer from Section 23 immediately provided first aid until the rescue workers from the Berlin fire department arrived. The 37-year-old was taken to hospital, while the shocked woman was released after outpatient treatment. However, an immediate search for the perpetrator in the surrounding area was unsuccessful. The investigation is now in the hands of the robbery commissioner of Police Department 2 (West).
