Yesterday afternoon there was a shocking incident in Schöneberg! A car purchase ended in a nightmare for a 56-year-old salesman when he discovered the €10,000 he had received was all fake. The brazen coup occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Monumentenstrasse, where a woman and two men bought the vehicle and handed over the counterfeit notes.
The seller, frustrated and shocked, only discovered the fraud when he went to deposit the money into the bank. But the story doesn't end there: On the way to the police, he recognized one of the perpetrators. The emergency services from police section 41 were quickly on site and arrested the 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, while a third accomplice remained on the run. Both those arrested were taken into police custody and the State Criminal Police Office's investigations are already underway - particularly in the search for the missing vehicle.
