Anti-Semitic assault in Kreuzberg subway: Police determined!
On Sunday night there was a scandalous incident with an anti-Semitic background on a subway train on the U3 line in Kreuzberg! A 25-year-old and a 29-year-old got into a heated exchange with a 27-year-old woman and her companion around 12:20 a.m. When asked if they were Jews, the couple answered in the affirmative, which immediately led to an anti-Semitic insult from the 27-year-old. The argument escalated when the attacker hit the 25-year-old's hand and her companion punched the 29-year-old in the face.
The situation quickly became dangerous, and alarmed police forces found the perpetrators at the Hallesches Tor underground station, heavily alcoholic and apparently in an angry condition. At the order of the Berlin public prosecutor, they were taken into police custody, where blood samples were carried out before they were released. The state criminal police officer on the police over the state has taken over the investigation to clarify the exact circumstances and background of this outrageous incident.
