On Thursday night, a subway ride in Friedrichshain escalated! A 44-year-old man is said to have racially insulted a 25-year-old and given the Hitler salute. At around 12:40 a.m., a 38-year-old passenger alerted the police after he filmed the shocking statements on a train on the U5 subway line. In order to defuse the aggressive situation, the witness pulled the emergency brake. The train stopped at the Frankfurter Tor subway station, where the police immediately intervened.
However, the suspect was uncooperative and aggressive. He was unruly handcuffed and taken into custody for identification processing, where he continued to resist and insult the officers. After the police measures, the man was able to continue on his way. This is another alarming incident that the State Police of the Berlin State Criminal Police Office is now investigating.
