Future of tourism: MV tourism days 2024 rely on regeneration

A top-class event is announced! The MV Tourism Days 2024 promise to become an absolute highlight for over 300 representatives from the world of tourism, politics and the economy. On October 10th and 11th, this important meeting will take place in the elegant Radisson Blu Hotel Rostock, and something big is being done!

in cooperation with the East German Sparkassenverband, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the ADAC Hansa e. V. has been the motto of the event: "Registative MV tourism-the course for the following generation". This revolves around the future of tourism and how it can be designed sustainably.

new partners, new perspectives!

The Sparkasse tourism barometer is presented for the first time, which provides current analyzes and detailed key figures for tourism in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This valuable information comes from the proven cooperation with Tourismusberatung DWIF-Consulting GmbH. And best of all: The event also receives impulses from top -class speakers such as sustainability expert Tina Teucher and Michael Duscher from Lower Austria.

"Tourism should not only be balanced, but also a profit for the region," explains Birgit Hesse, President of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania tourism association. "We need a deep understanding of the idea 'regenerate instead of consuming'." Topics such as regenerative management, artificial intelligence and securing skilled workers are at the top of the agenda. It is time to see tourism not only as an economic factor, but also as an opportunity to strengthen our cultural assets and our nature!

awarding the tourism award!

The evening of October 10th becomes unforgettable when the glittering award of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania tourism award takes place. In the categories of life and innovation, the winners can look forward to special recognition! The ADAC Hansa is the exclusive partner here and, with its support, sets a strong sign for the tourist scene.

On the second day, the program with workshops becomes more concrete: topics such as "Digital Transformation in Tourism" and "Safety Safety" are the focus. Expert: Inside, all the registers are drawn to offer the participants valuable impulses and solutions for the future.

A look at the numbers! In the first seven months of 2024, a total of 4.52 million guest arrivals and 18.5 million overnight stays were recorded in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This means an increase compared to the previous year and a positive balance for the tourism industry - a good reason to look optimistically into the future!

The travel regions in the state are strong: Westmecklenburg and Western Pomerania achieve the highest growth. But despite this pleasant data, the challenge of bringing the number of guests and the income to a sustainable level remains.

The MV tourism days are not just an event, but a key to regenerative tourism! Be there and let us set the course for a radiant future!
