A call to defend democracy!
Democracy is on the brink - and not just somewhere in the world, but right on our doorstep! The University of Constance takes on this burning topic and invites you to the rousing lecture series "Studium Generale", which shows new perspectives under the title "Science of Democracy and Freedom". In a time when populist currents question democratic elections and many voters support parties who propagate the withdrawal from democratic values, it will be more than ever to have the alarm bells ring! The lecture series is not just an academic event, but a passionate appeal to all citizens to actively work for freedom and democracy. Here it is researched, discussed and - above all - searched for solutions!

What can we do as individuals to strengthen democracy?" These questions have an enormous status and invite you to actively participate in the discussion!
The varied program of the series promises numerous exciting insights. Right -wing expert Christoph Möllers from HU Berlin will deal with the different degrees of freedom, while political scientist Susumo Shikano is pursuing what influence the personalities of top politicians have on election results.
