District Mayor Oliver Igel collects for a good cause

The district mayor Oliver Igel took part in a trainee project by the Lidl discounter, in which trainees are given the opportunity to run a branch independently and to work in the team. In the Lidl branch on the eagle frame in Adlershof, district mayor Igel was allowed to work at the cash register, where he served the customers and handled their purchases. The campaign was well received by the customers and offered an unexpected opportunity to talk to the district mayor.

During the period, in which district mayor Igel worked at the cash register, income of EUR 300 was generated that was willing to donate. The donation goes to the Waslala children's farm in Altglienicke, a place for children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 14, which serves as an important place for play, learning and creativity.

The participation of district mayor Igel in the trainee project not only offered support for the trainees, but also contributed to supporting the Waslala children's farm.
