Interview with Thomas Heinze: Berlin, BER Airport and his favorite places
The trip with the U8 in Berlin no longer ensures joy with actor Thomas Heinze. Despite his many years of connection with the city, he criticizes that the subway line no longer offers him a pleasant travel experience, especially if he has to get out at the busy stations Kottbusser Tor or Hermannplatz. Heinze, who took on a leading role in the crime series "The Old", is pleased about the success of the new season, which is broadcast on ZDF. The first episode reached almost six million viewers and secured the day victory in the overall audience.
The actor reveals in an interview that his favorite place in Berlin is the church garden of the Sophienkirche, where he finds peace and magic in the middle of the city's fray. With regard to no-go areas, Heinze states that he actually has no one, but the U8 trip is increasingly disappointed. Despite many twisted scenes in Berlin, there are still places that he would like to visit, like an exhibition in the new National Gallery.
Heinze also shares his preferences for leisure activities in Berlin - including being with his adult children and meetings with friends. With regard to urban development, he comments critically about the traffic policy of recent years, which has ensured inconvenience and dysfunctions in the traffic sector. He also emphasizes the importance of better interpersonal communication and the respectful way of dealing with each other in the city. Despite criticism and challenges, Heinze Berlin sees a lively metropolis that offers diversity and urban life, but also requires a certain amount of perseverance.
