The Sustainable Quest on the Re: Publica: Festival guests can vote on pressing questions
Bonn/Berlin, May 27, 2024. This year's motto of the Re: publica, a conference on digital society, is "Who Cares?". As part of this event, the #17 -Ziele initiative will be present with its “The Sustainable Quest” campaign. In the Expo area, near the main stages, two large door arches in the colors of the 17 sustainability goals require the festival guests to take a position on current questions of time. Festival goers can go through the gate, which is characterized by "yes" or "no" to give up their answer. Sensors then count how many people have chosen which answer.
"The Sustainable Quest" provides a snapshot of thousands of answers during the day and thus offers a basis for discussions among the participants and conversation for evening reflection sessions. In addition, there will be live podcasts in which the 17-target hosts will speak to interesting guests on topics such as racism, fake news, democracy & peace, feminism, social justice and climate protection. These podcasts can be listened to live via headphones or later called up as recording.
The initiative #17 -Ziele is committed to inspiring people for political processes, using the potential of modern technologies and actively participating in decision -making processes in order to participate together in a sustainable future. The 17 sustainability goals were adopted by the United Nations as part of the 2030 agenda and include social, ecological and economic aspects of sustainability. They illustrate that we all have a common responsibility for the world.
The educational campaign #17 -Ziele, which is carried out globally by commitment, has the goal of making these important topics for sustainable development more better known, creating sensitivity and stimulating a changed action.
