Berlin shows innovation potential for sustainable corporate practice: Short films of the Future Charta Grüner Hirsch presented

On October 31, 2023, a ceremonial short film premiere event took place in Berlin, to which district mayor Jörn Oltmann and host Schindler invited Germany. They were represented by Frank Böhnert, Managing Director Fulfillment, Supply Chain and Sustainability, as well as Luisa Runge, Sustainability Manager. The event presented eight short films on inspiring sustainable company practices that were created as part of the future chart and should encourage other companies to take similar steps.

The Future Charter Grüner Hirsch is an alliance of companies that are committed to promoting sustainable business practices. This campaign aims to make sustainably committed companies visible and inspire other companies to take similar steps. The short films presented impressively show the variety of approaches for sustainability projects and the innovation potential in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district.

The short films deal with various topics such as mobility, process optimization, supply chain optimization, life cycle optimization, social sustainability, inclusion, skill in skilled workers, training and further education as well as local commitment. After demonstrating the films, the audience had the opportunity to talk to the protagonists of the companies and to gain valuable knowledge for their own companies.

This event clearly shows that Berlin and in particular the district of Tempelhof-Schöneberg has a high density of companies with a pronounced sustainability engagement. The films shown serve as inspiration and incentive for other companies in the region to take similar steps towards sustainability.
