Record -suspect donation! On Thursday, November 21, 2024, the eyes shone in the youth and family center Jeverneun when the Lions Förderverein Berlin-Benefit e.V. presented an impressive check for € 5,000 to the Schöneberg e.V. This proud sum was collected at various festivals in the district by the tireless commitment of the volunteer members.

District Mayor Jörn Oltmann:
"Volunteering is the backbone of our society and I would like to thank the members of the Lions Förderverein Berlin-Benefit e.V. for their commitment. I am particularly pleased that the neighborhood home Schöneberg e.V. and its important work with this check will be promoted in considerable amount."

a festival of the neighborhood

The Lions Förderverein is not only a donor, but also an active part of the neighborhood. With a large vigor, take part in the neighborhood festival at the Schöneberg town hall and offer a beverage and flea market stand there. They were particularly pleased to celebrate the anniversary festival "150 years of Friedenau" together with the community. The income of these events is flowing directly into social projects - and for three years the neighborhood home Schöneberg e.V. has benefited significantly from these help.

What makes the Schöneberg e.V. neighborhood home so special? It offers over 80 different facilities and projects that benefit the citizens in Schöneberg. This year they celebrated their 75th birthday and thus strengthened their place in the heart of the community. The youth and family center Jeverneun, which now receives generous support, is a lively place for children and adolescents from the age of 12- here you can play on the kicker, play billiards or take part in creative offers.

a happy festival with heart

The neighborhood festival at the Schöneberg town hall is an important event that attracts many people. It is a non-profit street festival, which is organized by the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district and is celebrated every year in spring. Here, numerous organizations and volunteers show which treasures and talents have to offer the neighborhood. It is important that this festival is not profit -oriented - all proceeds flow into charitable projects. If you want to learn more about this well -known festival, you will find all information on the official website for the neighborhood festival.
