Information evening about the Green Ring in Spandau: Citizens' participation for new ways and leisure rooms

The district office Spandau cordially invites all residents in the vicinity of the northern Rieselfeld gross grave (NRA) and the long pelvis as well as all interested citizens for an information evening. The event marks the start of a number of different participation formats carried out by the commissioned office AG.Urban by October. These participation formats are planned in connection with the redesign of the green areas as publicly usable path connections or leisure and recreation rooms.
City Councilor Schatz explains: "A participation of the residents took place in 2020. The district office now wants to build on it and inform about the planned projects. Together with the planners, the upcoming construction measures are to be presented and further workshops are to be presented in late summer."
The Green Ring is a green connection in the districts of Staaken and Wilhelmstadt and a central project in the urban development area Brunsbütteler Damm / Heerstrasse (sustainable renewal program). The overarching goal is to close the green ring with a total length of 5.7 km and to make it accessible to the citizens. Three sub -projects are currently planned: the establishment of a children's playground on the long pool in the area of the southern meadows to the Weindeisterhornweg, the expansion of the path on the NRA and the connection of the long pelvis to the adjacent sections of the green ring.
In a table, possible information about the sub -projects such as planned construction time, usable space, target group, etc. can be presented to ensure a clear overview.
The information evening will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the elementary school on Amalienhof (multi -purpose room) at Weindeisterhornweg 122, 13593 Berlin.
