Successful renovation: Elementary school on the Eichenwald celebrates new opening

Die Grundschule am Eichenwald hat die erfolgreiche Sanierung ihres Verwaltungsgebäudes mit einem festlichen Akt, musikalischem Programm und symbolischem Banddurchschnitt gefeiert. Die Bezirksstadträtin Dr. Carola Brückner und Schulleiterin Sabine Dargel waren bei der Feier anwesend und lobten die abgeschlossene Modernisierung der Schulanlage. Neben den bereits sanierten Klassenräumen, Sanitäranlagen und Fenstern in den Schülerhäusern wurde der Verwaltungstrakt umfassend überholt, einschließlich des Umbaus der ehemaligen Hausmeisterdienstwohnung in helle Schulräume für Lehrkräfte und Besprechungen. Die Sanierung umfasste auch den Umbau des Eingangsbereiches und des Treppenhauses im Hauptgebäude sowie die Aufstockung des Verbindungsganges im ersten Obergeschoss für die zukünftige Barrierefreiheit der gesamten Schulanlage. The elementary school on the Eichenwald celebrated the successful renovation of its administrative building with a festive act, musical program and symbolic ribbon average. The district councilor Dr. Carola Brückner and headmistress Sabine Dargel were present at the celebration and praised the completed modernization of the school complex. In addition to the already renovated classrooms, sanitary facilities and windows in the school houses, the administrative wing was comprehensively overhauled, including the renovation of the former caretaker duty apartment into bright school rooms for teachers and meetings. The renovation also included the renovation of the entrance area and the staircase in the main building as well as the increase in the connecting course on the first floor for the future accessibility of the entire school complex. The elementary school on the Eichenwald celebrated the successful renovation of its administrative building with a festive act, musical program and symbolic band average. The district councilor Dr. Carola Brückner and headmistress Sabine Dargel were present at the celebration and praised the completed modernization of the school complex. In addition to the already renovated classrooms, sanitary facilities and windows in the school houses, the administrative wing was comprehensively overhauled, including the renovation of the former caretaker duty apartment into bright school rooms for teachers and meetings.

The renovation also included the conversion of the entrance area and the stairwell in the main building as well as the increase in the connection course on the first floor for the future accessibility of the entire school complex. The total costs amounted to around 4.51 million euros and were financed by funding from the Local Investment Promotion Act.

A special highlight of the measure was the environmentally friendly heat supply of the school due to a new heating system with a modern hybrid system. This combination of highly efficient condensing boiler system, heat pump and software-controlled control valves enables efficient heating of the entire school.

The renovation was led by external architects of the Scharabi architect office, while the district building management was the leading construction agency. Future plans provide for the renovation of the roofs and facades as well as the barrier -free expansion of the entire school complex.
