Keep your favorite sweater: creative workshop in Spandau!

The Spandau City Library will organize a workshop on Friday, November 29th under the motto "Save your favorite sweater" in cooperation with the Kulturlabor Trial & Error. Here the participants can repair their own woolen clothing and beautify them in a creative way. This Initiative is of particular importance in times of increasing environmental problems and the massive waste of resources by the textile industry, which consumes an average of 400 square meters of land and 9,000 liters of water per person. Because only one percent of clothing is recycled, while around 11 kilograms of textiles end up in the garbage annually, as on the website of trial-error.org note.

Participants are asked to bring a broken wool. Since time is limited, the pieces should need as little repair as possible. Admission is free, but it is recommended to register in advance due to limited places. The workshop is seen as an excellent opportunity to develop your own creativity and at the same time make a contribution to a more sustainable future.
