From October 5, 2025, free “winter game places” will be available in Spandau, which offer families with children aged 0 to 10 years. The sports halls, which are distributed across the entire district, open their doors every Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. On these afternoons, children can romp, play, climb and balance and try out various sports equipment. A total of eight sports halls are available, which are looked after by various Spandau sports clubs. New this year are the children's winter game of TSV Staaken 1906 e.V. and a baby-winter game of the Sportkinder Berlin e.V. in Spandau Mitte. The supporters of this action are:

Integration of movement into everyday life
The "Winter Play Places" are part of the "Spandau moves!" Initiative, the families encouraged to regularly be active together. This initiative is also related to the “Berlin moves” program, which offers similar free movement offers across Berlin.
