After the decision of the Bundestag to release cannabis, the police warn of the possible risks for society. The permitted use of cannabis will make road traffic even more unsafe, according to the police. Politicians have been guided by expert recommendations in the specified limit values, but nobody can guarantee whether these values are sufficient. The release of cannabis is therefore a social field trial with 80 million guinea pigs.
In order to ensure compliance with the limit values when driving under the influence of THC, politics is encouraged to do everything. However, this will be a challenge, since alcohol is already known how many drivers are very irresponsible. Increased control will therefore be necessary to ensure that the limit values are observed. Since many drivers now consume without experience with the limit values of cannabis, it is unclear how the various joints affect driving suitability.
This means that more police forces, resources and costs are required. Nevertheless, it is a commitment of the state, especially the weakest road users such as pedestrians, cyclists and children on their way to school. You should by no means be a victim of the new liberal drug policy.
