The tenth Thuringian model building fair "Model Leben" took place this year on the occasion of its anniversary in three halls and over three event days. The fair was a great success and attracted over 16,000 visitors. On an exhibition area of ​​20,000 square meters, almost 100 clubs and exhibitors presented the entire variety of model construction topics.

was particularly gratifying that this year's number of visitors could outdo the previous year. On the opening day, 323 Thuringian kindergarten children had the opportunity to get an exclusive insight into the world of model building projects. The fair offered numerous attractions such as lovingly designed model railroad systems, flying drones and miniature military facilities. The fully automatic model railway café was also particularly impressive.

The model flight area in Hall 1, which was part of the model, presented itself as a highlight. The model flight association Otto Lilienthal e.V. was enthusiastic about the big rush and used the fair to make their hobby better known and, above all, to inspire children.

The model railway association in Germany e.V. was the sixth time specialist in the model and showed eleven high -quality systems from all over Germany and the Netherlands. The systems were praised by visitors.

Another highlight were the drifts, who often did the European Championships in vehicle model construction as part of the Clash The Titans - RC Drift Competitions. With 110 starters from different countries, the field of participants was internationally occupied and the competitions delighted the audience.

The AIDALUNA, a cruise ship model made using 3D printing, was also particularly worth seeing, which received its baptism in the large water basin. The subsequent maiden voyage of the model was accompanied by the visitors with applause.

The company Viessmann Modelltechnik GmbH was first represented as an exhibitor on the life model and impressed by the trade fair conditions. Families with children in particular showed great interest in the model building systems of the company.

The next Thuringian model building fair "Model Leben" takes place from February 14 to 16, 2025 at the Erfurt exhibition center.
