New chance for old graves: Feasibility study planned for upgrading
The traditional Tegel entrepreneur's table took place on Wednesday (March 20) for the last time in the closing “Hax’nhaus”, where local traders discussed the latest developments for old graves. The urban development city councilor Korinna Stephan (B'90/Greens) was also present and took the opportunity to promote a feasibility study commissioned by the district council (BVV). The tender for this study with a budget of 50,000 euros is currently being prepared to determine how the historically significant road Alt-Tegel can be upgraded and the local economy can be strengthened.
The city council emphasized the importance of participating the entrepreneurs in this process, since their concerns and ideas should flow into the tender. This enables the needs of the local economy to take into account and integrate them into the study from the start. "The street Alt-Tegel is an important part of our district, both historically and economically and touristically. It is therefore of crucial importance that we include the expertise and the perspectives of the local entrepreneurs in the development concepts," said district councilor Stephan.
The tender for the feasibility study is expected to be published in May of this year. The study itself should be completed by the end of the year. Entrepreneurs who want to contribute their concerns and proposals can contact the district councilor's office directly.
