Heatwave Festival 2025: A festival for diversity and youth culture in Reinickendorf!

The Heatwave Festival 2025 is just around the corner and will take place on the festival meadow on the Festwiese at the Seggeluchbecken in the Märkisches district of Berlin-Reinickendorf on July 18 and 19. This event, which has been organized for the fourth time by young people between the ages of 14 and 20, is committed to the motto "The sound against intolerance". The festival offers an open platform for music, dance, art and creativity and is aimed at local and creative minds from all over Germany.

The main goal of the festival is to set a strong statement against intolerance and for diversity. The young people are responsible for all organizational aspects, including booking, stage and technology planning, artist acquisition as well as social media and catering. You will receive support from the cultural coaching GUG and professional coaches that are intended to strengthen the personal responsibility of the young organizers. Youth Councilor Alexander Ewers (SPD) emphasizes the importance of this festival and emphasizes the focus on openness, diversity as well as against discrimination and exclusion.

Festival program and highlights

The musical performance includes an exciting line-up with live bands, rap acts, dance performances and DJ sets from various genres such as R’n’B, Afrobeats and Soul. In addition, numerous sports offers and gastronomic highlights are also offered that make the festival a varied experience for all participants.

The start of the festival is on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. Entry to the Heatwave Festival is free. The journey takes place easily via bus lines 120 and 122 to the Calauer Straße stop. For everyone who is interested in becoming part of the organization team or the stage act, meetings take place on Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
