According to a report by www.berlin.de With visual impairments, especially for older people. To address this problem, representatives of the Berlin Road and Green Area Office met with experts for barrier-free building and activists from the general blind and visually impaired association to find the best color solution for the bollards
Already near the town hall, existing bollards were marked with white stripes to create better contrast. On July 24, 2023, the official start of the project took place in the presence of district mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner. A list of the bollards to be marked is currently being created and 300 locations have already been recorded. The ATINA GUG carrier organization will then mark the bollards in contrast to the environment using adhesive tapes.
In order to cope with this task, Atina Reinickendorfer is looking for citizens who are long -term unemployed and are willing to take up meaningful work in the district. Working hours are up to 30 hours a week and the payment is made according to the collective bargaining contracts for the public service (TV-L) with a grouping in the pay group E2/1.
