Rules on vacation: respect for the host should be normal

Rules on vacation: respect for the host should be normal

On vacation you should always behave respectfully towards the host country. If you don't stick to it, you have to expect punishments that can sometimes be high. In Italy, for example, a fine of up to 500 euros threatens if you stroll through seaside resorts in swimming shorts. The Italians don't want to see half -naked tourists on their promenade and you should respect that.

But other holiday countries are fully from visitors who cannot behave. In Nepal, for example, mountaineers have to dispose of their garbage independently instead of just lying around. And in Egypt it is forbidden to climb the famous cheop pyramid. Unfortunately, there are always people who do not adhere to these rules and thus cause trouble and problems.

It should actually be a matter of course not to choose the oldest and most sacred tree of Bali as a background for a nude photo. Likewise, eating in beach restaurants is hygienically sensible to pull trousers over the string bikini. Such examples show that you should also take into account the cultural conditions of the host country on vacation.

In order to avoid such incidents, it is important to deal with local customs and rules before the start of the trip. In the past, travel guides were the means of choice, but today the necessary information can also be easily found on the Internet. If you travel, you should at least familiarize yourself with the rules and customs of the host country in advance.

A special role model is the Bali holiday island, which requires an entry fee from tourists from 2024. Even if nine euros per person may not appear much, this measure helps to protect the environment and culture of the country. In addition, tourists will hopefully gain greater awareness of the value of their travel destinations.

It is our own responsibility to treat the host country respectfully and to adhere to the applicable rules. This is the only way we can enable everyone involved a pleasant and harmonious vacation.
