New sustainability planner 2026: Available free of charge in Berlin!
On November 3, 2025, the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office announced a new step towards sustainable development: The 2026 “Berlin” sustainability planner can now be ordered free of charge. This practical pocket calendar measures 17 × 24 centimeters and is aimed particularly at employees in public administration, institutions, non-profit organizations and educators who aim to integrate the 17 United Nations Sustainability Goals into their everyday lives. As berlin.de reports, the planner contains both international practical examples and current sustainable projects from Berlin.
The sustainability planner is appointed by the Education for Sustainable Development Office (SBNE). Those interested can send their orders by email to sbne@charlottenburg-wilmersdorf.de. When ordering, it is important to specify the contact person, institution, postal address and the desired quantity. The calendars will begin shipping in November 2025, while stocks last. From December 2025, interested citizens will also have the opportunity to receive the calendar free of charge in the visitor centers of the Berlin State Centers for Civic Education.

The visitor center locations are as follows:
- Hardenbergstraße: Hardenbergstraße 22–24, 10623 Berlin

Visitor center hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For further information, Juliane Brix from the SBNE is available and can be contacted on (030) 9029 12014 or by email at sbne@charlottenburg-wilmersdorf.de.
Commitment to sustainable development
The Education for Sustainable Development Office (SBNE) was founded in May 2017 by City Councilor Oliver Schruoffeneger and has the primary goal of driving forward the municipal implementation of the 17 UN Sustainability Goals. According to naturstadt.berlin, the SBNE designs and initiates sustainable strategies, educational projects and events. A central concern of the staff office is to support district initiatives and committed actors in the implementation of these goals.
The SBNE's key projects include the film and training series #2030, a sustainable homework book for students and the “Picnic Flitzer”, a converted cargo bike that can be borrowed. The SBNE thus makes a significant contribution to the topic of education for sustainable development and ensures that both local and global commitment is made visible.
The new sustainability planner is another important step towards raising public awareness of environmental issues and sustainable practices, which can positively influence not only one's own way of life, but also actions in institutions and other areas.
