Neighborhood festival in the Lankwitz community park: celebrate with us!
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Lankwitz community park will be transformed into a lively festival site. Under the motto “Celebrate, get to know, experience the neighborhood,” the Kamenzer Damm area coordination invites you to a neighborhood and family festival from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The aim of the event is to discover neighborhood life and celebrate the neighborhood. The park, located at Malteserstraße 53, 12249 Berlin, will be the central location for over 30 local activities and attractions for all ages.
The varied program includes, among other things, an air track mat for children, a human table football and face painting. Information stands and hands-on activities also promise a lot of interaction. Culinary catering will be provided by two food trucks, the Grillhütte 46 as well as crepes from Matreshka and a mobile ice cream counter from Mana Eismanufaktur, which will provide delicious snacks and refreshments.
Music and entertainment
Another highlight of the afternoon will be the final concert from 6:00 p.m., where various local music projects will be on stage. These include the Lankwitz Horns wind orchestra as well as musical contributions from KRISTOFFER, DAS THEATER and MOZAIK. In addition, the dance program of the Ukrainian association Aldera e.V. will ensure special cultural diversity and invite visitors to join in.
The event is funded by the “Strengthening Berlin Large Settlements” program and receives support from the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing. This underlines the importance of supporting local community projects and strengthening neighborhood cohesion.
Previous festivals
Neighborhood Day, which is celebrated in many Berlin neighborhoods, clearly shows the value of such events. This year, numerous festivals and activities were announced in various parts of the city, from waffle time together in Reinickendorf to musical events in Kreuzberg and Pankow. These festivals promote togetherness and create meeting places for everyone.
If you have any questions about the event in the Lankwitz Community Park, please contact Jakob Markus on 0174 242 45 20 (markus.j@stadtteilzentrum-steglitz.org) and Jacob von Forstner on 0174 247 31 59 (forstner@stadtteilzentrum-steglitz.org). It promises to be a great day where neighbors can come together, exchange ideas and celebrate together.
