Today, another milestone in education was reached in Marzahn-Hellersdorf. As part of the Berlin school building offensive, the modular supplementary building made of wood was opened for the primary school on Schleipfuhl. Senator Katharina Günther-Wünsch, district mayor Nadja Zivkovic, district councilor Stefan Bley and Sabine Schuster from the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Living were present at the opening.

The supplementary construction relieves the existing school building because the number of students in the region rose sharply. After a warm greeting by the school management, the construction was symbolically handed over to the headmaster, which after years of the temporary solutions finally receives a satisfactory building for the school community.

The modular supplementary construction offers modern learning rooms and optimal conditions for all -day care and inclusive education. A green roof underlines the sustainability of the building. The opening marks an important step in creating sufficient school places for the growing city.
