a musical journey through the time

These special works are not only musical masterpieces, they are also deeply rooted in history. Korngold, who had to emigrate from Austria from Austria at the end of the 1930s, created a piece with his quartet that reflects his new experiences and influences. On the other hand, "Different Trains" by Steve Reich, an American composer of German origin, offers an urgent reflection on the Holocaust. This musical collage makes voices and tensile noises alive, which remind of the unimaginable suffering of the Jews during this dark time.

The "Franz-Trio", founded in 2017 by the talented musicians Avigail Bushakevitz, Ernst-Martin Schmidt and Constance Ricard, brings his experience and passion for chamber music on stage. All three ensemble members are proud to be part of the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra. Rodrigo Bauzá, a recognized violinist of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, adds an additional dimension of brilliance and virtuosity to the ensemble.
