Interactive exhibition: tolerance rooms in Marzahn-Hellersdorf
The exhibition tolerance rooms, which many people use as a source of inspiration for more tolerance and respect in everyday life, guest from April 19 to May 4, 2024 in Marzahn-Hellersdorf on Victor-Klemperer-Platz in front of the Marzahn Leisure Forum. Under the patronage of the district councilor for youth, family and health, Gordon Lemm, the exhibition invites people from all living environments to deal with the topic of tolerance. Visitors are given the opportunity to experience and discuss how tolerance can work in our coexistence, but also where their limits are.
The interactive exhibition is suitable for excursions and offers space for conversations and new perspectives. If necessary, a tolerance guide can lead visitors through the exhibition and convey background knowledge. The exhibition is aimed at all age groups, is barrier -free and accessible free of charge. School classes also have the opportunity to step into exchange about the topics of tolerance, cooperation and respect.
District City Councilor Gordon Lemm emphasizes the importance of values such as tolerance, respect and openness in everyday cooperation. Especially in times when public discussions often become heated and cross boundaries, it is important to clearly take position against hostility and agitation. A visit to the tolerance rooms can help to actively campaign for social interaction.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place on April 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the youth leisure facility Fair in Berlin. In addition to speeches by prominent personalities and varied artistic performances, there is the opportunity to take a tour of the exhibition. The event is open to everyone interested. The exhibition is open to visitors from April 19 to May 4, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Victor-Klemperer-Platz in Berlin. Admission is free.
