Shock in Lichtenberg: Pensioners to shots in Wachkoma!

In a shocking incident in Lichtenberg, an 80-year-old pensioner, Antonio A., was seriously injured by a Portuguese pair with three shots when opening his door. The perpetrators, Sara B. (31) and Paulo S. (48), had used a duvet as a silencer and fled with 2000 euros after they believed that the victim was dead. Instead, Antonio A. awakened after a few hours and was able to make the emergency call. He is now suffering from severe brain damage in Wachkoma after three balls were shot in his head, while his main artery was severed, as BZ Berlin.

The crime occurred on May 31, 2024, and the trial against the couple, who is already considered particularly unscrupulous, began on November 5, 2024. Paulo S.'s statements were particularly worrying, which confessed that his partner insisted on shooting him immediately and that he should be responsible alone if they are caught. The investigators found burdening evidence through surveillance videos, including DNA traces on FFP-2 masks that the couple disposed of after the crime, and the murder weapon with Saras DNA.

additional investigations against the suspect

While Paulo S. and Sara B. prepare for a possible life sentence, another suspect, who was insulted as "weak head", sees himself confronted with suspected sedition. In 2024 he is said to have posted an image on X that contains a reference to the Nazi dictatorship, including the words "German does not buy from Jews". Robert Habeck commented on this controversial insult in a discussion and made it clear that she was not the worst insult that has ever been pronounced. Nevertheless, the accusation of sedition remains serious, and the investigation continues, as SPIEGEL reports.
