The return could not be simpler! Hold a medium that you want to return to the corresponding sensor. A sliding window opens and the books and media can be easily inserted. Upon request, users receive a receipt - so there is no reason to worry!
But stop! If you don't just come from the Anton Saefkow Library, you have to pay a transport fee of one euro per medium. Incidentally, some large media are excluded from this new return option. All of this is part of a larger VÖBB project that wants to modernize and expand the RFID technology for the automatic identification of objects.
futuristic technology and more accessibility in planning
The load -bearing pillars of this innovation are encouraged by the state of Berlin and continue to promote accessibility for everyone. One of the next improvements? A barrier-free equipment with audio function is already being planned so that everyone can fully enjoy the advantages of the library!
