Leopoldplatz, Berlin, Deutschland - Today, on June 24, 2025, the district office Mitte announced that the Artist Residencies on Leopoldplatz are part of a comprehensive package of measures for the cultural revival of the region. District Mayor Stefanie Remlinger emphasizes the importance of this initiative that invites artists to develop creative projects that deal with the neighborhood around Leopoldplatz. A total of 61 applications for funding, which have a total volume of 317,798.20 euros. In view of an available budget of only 25,000 euros, the application for Artist Residencies was extremely competitive. On June 16, 2025, the jury met to evaluate the projects and pronounce a total of four recommendations.
