financing and support
The Artist Residencies are financed from the funds of the Berlin security summit and are part of the package of measures decided on September 8, 2023. This preventive approach aims to promote the cultural revitalization of Leopoldplatz ( Kultur Mitte ). The funding not only includes financial resources, but also the support in contacting local cultural institutions.
for artists and cultural workers because of the high demand and the limited means, it is important to know that in addition to the artist residencies there are also other funding opportunities. One example is the general project funding through Cultural Foundation of the Federal , which is available twice a year for various artistic projects.
Along these programs, an important step towards cultural diversity and integration in Berlin is taken. Initiatives such as Artist Residencies on Leopoldplatz are an opportunity for artists to deal with the neighborhood and to develop creative solutions for the challenges of urban life.
