The coming days in Berlin and Brandenburg will bring an intensive heat wave and the possibility of strong thunderstorms. The predictions make it clear that the temperatures continue to increase and the German Weather Service (DWD) warns of extreme thermal load.
On Tuesday, September 3, an uncomfortable heat period is expected, with maximum daily values of up to 33 degrees Celsius. The people in the capital and the surrounding area have to prepare for stinging heat, especially in the densely built -up urban areas of Berlin. Here the nightly cooling could prove inadequate, which leads to an additional burden.

In view of the extreme temperatures, the DWD has given a heat warning for the period from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is strongly recommended to stay away from the sun, drink enough water and keep the interior cool. This leads to a tense weather conditions in which vulnerability flows from the southwest to the region. The DWD weather experts warn of the possibility of local thunderstorms, especially in the western part of Brandenburg. From one moment more severe rains with up to 25 liters per square meter, storm gusts of up to 70 km/h or even hail could occur here.
In the night of Wednesday, people should prepare for isolated thunderstorms and rain showers. However, the sky is largely changeable to low, with low values between 20 and 16 degrees. Also on Wednesday, September 4th, the weather remains sunny until evening, while in Westbrandenburg the probability of strong showers and thunderstorms increases.

The temperatures will continue to rise and the maximum values reach up to 35 degrees. At night it will cool down and the values are between 16 and 19 degrees. The weather remains hot on Thursday and Friday, September 5th and 6th. While up to 33 degrees and up to 32 degrees are expected on Thursday, it remains cheerful during the day.
