On Tuesday, September 3, an uncomfortable heat period is expected, with maximum daily values of up to 33 degrees Celsius. planned measures against the heat
In view of the extreme temperatures, the DWD has given a heat warning for the period from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is strongly recommended to stay away from the sun, drink enough water and keep the interior cool. High temperatures can represent health risks, especially for endangered groups. The reason for this heat wave is a high pressure influence, which, however, is gradually weakening. This leads to a tense weather conditions in which vulnerability flows from the southwest to the region. The DWD weather experts warn of the possibility of local thunderstorms, especially in the western part of Brandenburg. From one moment more severe rains with up to 25 liters per square meter, storm gusts of up to 70 km/h or even hail could occur here.
In the night of Wednesday, people should prepare for isolated thunderstorms and rain showers. However, the sky is largely changeable to low, with low values between 20 and 16 degrees. Also on Wednesday, September 4th, the weather remains sunny until evening, while in Westbrandenburg the probability of strong showers and thunderstorms increases.
