Hape Kerkeling, the well-known comedian and entertainer, was a guest on the ZDF talk show "Maybritt Illner". There he flirted with a female studio guest and made the coarse saying: "I am an organ donor. Do you need what?". Nowadays Kerkeling would no longer bring this joke because he finds it disgusting and believes that people could no longer laugh about it. The times and humor have changed.

The figure of the Horst Schlämmer was created for the RTL program "Hape meets" in 2005 and was primarily due to the celebrity special program of "Who is becoming a millionaire?" known with Günther Jauch. Also in the movie "Horst Schlämmer - I am candidates!" Kerkeling played the role. The audience has known and dear Horst Schlämmer for many years.

In the talk show, Hape Kerkeling also commented on whether Horst Schlämmer was a prototype of the "old, white man". He affirmed this and explained that he created this figure to present this type of man. In real life, however, it is not this prototype.

The program "Maybritt Illner" has initially said goodbye to the summer break for two months. Anne Will has also been in her summer break since July 9th. From the end of 2023 she will give up her moderation job after 16 years.

It remains exciting to see how the social issues will develop in the future and whether the humor will continue to change. Hape Kerkeling has made it clear that he would personally set certain limits and would no longer comment on the role of Horst Schlämmer about coarse jokes.
