chicken eggs are the hit!

The survey, which was carried out by the market research institute Civey on behalf of the Federal Association of Ei as part of the World Egg Day 2024, Revealed: 36 percent of the respondents eat chicken eggs several times a week. In family households with children, this value even increases to 51 percent - the eggs are the new star on the breakfast table!

The popularity of this superfood remains stable for years and grows in both Germany and worldwide," explains Hans-Peter Goldnick, the chairman of the Federal Association of Ei, on the survey results.

The annual egg consumption is also interesting: an average of 236 eggs are consumed in Germany per capita. For comparison: In countries like Japan or Mexico, there are even over 300 eggs a year! A real enthusiasm for eggs that can be observed worldwide.

"In a world in which healthy eating is becoming increasingly important, the egg is the focus of a balanced diet as a cost -effective food," emphasizes Goldnick. Studies even show that daily consumption of an egg can reduce the risk of heart diseases and strokes!
