Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg becomes a Fairtrade district: event on the subject of fair textiles and food
District Mayor Clara Herrmann informs that the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district acts actively for strengthening fair trade as the Fairtrade district. As part of the event "Fair textiles and food - credible seals and tips for practical implementation in gastronomy", it is explained which products can obtain local gastronomy from fair trade and which seals are considered trustworthy. The aim is to make an efficient contribution to the topic of "sustainable consumption and sustainable production" at a global level.
The Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district is actively involved in a sustainable and fair economy. The promotion of fair trade not only strengthens the local economy, but also makes an important contribution to environmental protection and social justice. The event on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, offers restaurateurs the opportunity to find out about fair products and get tips on practical implementation in their companies.
The event takes place in the workroom of the Pablo Neruda district central library in Frankfurter Allee 14a, 10247 Berlin. Admission is free, but requested by registration by May 20, 2024. Registrations can be sent by email to Helena.jansen@ba-fk.berlin.de.
The district office is available for further information at press@ba-fk.berlin.de or by phone at (030) 90298-2843. The event offers a good opportunity to get involved in sustainability and fair trade in gastronomy and make a conscious contribution to the topic of "sustainable consumption".
