Discover Spandau: New calendar 2026 with magical places!
On November 3, 2025, the Spandau district will present the new calendar for 2026, which impressively reflects the beauty and diversity of the district. The calendar, with the motto "Off to Spandau! Vacation in Berlin," shows twelve remarkable places, including the citadel, St. Nikolai, the island of Eiswerder, Fort Hahneberg and the green south.
The selection of the depicted sights was made by the employees of the Tourist Information Berlin-Spandau. The glamorous views were photographed by Dagmar threshold, who captures what is special about these locations with her eye for aesthetics. District Mayor Frank Bewig describes the calendar as an inspiring and practical companion for anyone who wants to discover the region. The calendar is now available for EUR 12.99 at the Tourist Information Office, which is open on weekdays from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The address is Gotisches Haus, Breite Str. 32, 13597 Berlin.
Spandaus diverse attractions
Spandau is not only known for its new calendar, but also offers a variety of options for visitors and residents. The Spandau Old Town is the largest connected pedestrian zone in Berlin and is home to numerous historical sights characterized by winding alleys, old market squares and charming shops. Here, visitors can drink coffee and enjoy hand-made specialties in cozy pastry shops, while fresh fruit and vegetables are sold at weekly markets.
In addition, Spandau is an important business location in Berlin, where, among other things, BMW motorcycles are produced. The district also includes the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Siemensstadt and the Garden City of Staaken, which is considered a model for social housing. Historical attractions such as the remains of the 14th-century city walls and the Renaissance fortress also attract many visitors.
Optimal connection and infrastructure
Another advantage of Spandau is its excellent infrastructure, which makes it easy for visitors to explore the area. The travel options are diverse: from well-developed local public transport, which includes buses, regional trains and the S-Bahn lines S 3 and S 9, to cycle paths such as the Havel cycle path. Drivers can easily arrive via the federal highways B 2 and B 5.
In addition, Spandau's waterways are designed for boat traffic, and there are numerous parking options in the area, including on Breite Straße and Altstädter Ring, which simplify access to the attractions.
Spandau not only offers a delightful visual experience through the new calendar, but also a variety of experiences that are of great interest to both tourists and locals.
