On May 17, 2024, the opening of the wine fountain on Rüdesheimer Platz takes place. District Mayor Kirstin Bauch will open the event at 3 p.m. By September 14th of this year there will be a total of 104 prayers. On the open days (Monday to Saturday), visitors can enjoy the wines and sect of the winegrowers from the Rheingau-Taunus partner district from 3 to 9:30 p.m. The wine fountain remains closed on Sundays so as not to bother the residents.
The winebrunnen period is a popular event in the district and is eagerly awaited by many people. According to District Mayor Kirstin Bauch, you have already received numerous calls and emails from interested visitors. The wine festival has become an integral part of the summer in the district. Nevertheless, belly appeals to the visitors to take into account and, above all, to properly dispose of or avoid the garbage.
The opening will be designed by the BASTING winery this year. The winegrowers Abel and Nikolai will alternate in the course of the summer. For more than 50 years, the winemakers from the Rheingau-Taunis district have been giving their products on the plateau above the Siegfried fountain. Visitors also have the opportunity to supply themselves with food.
