Natural beauties of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: exhibition on the Steinplatz
The Staffpiece Education for Sustainable Development (SBNE) of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania tourism association will present the exhibition "Where Nature is at home" on Steinplatz from June 10 to August 28, 2024. The opening will take place on June 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. and will be led by district councilor Oliver Schruoffeneger and managing director Tobias Woitendorf.
The exhibition includes twelve image benches with 22 motifs that capture the natural beauties of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Visitors can discover the beauty and variety of nature worth protecting by pictures of national parks, biosphere reserves and nature parks. A third of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is under nature conservation, which makes the state an important protected area for flora and fauna. Over 30 nature experience centers invite you to experience nature up close.
In addition to the exhibition, the free augmented reality app "So ticks Natur" is offered, which enables visitors to explore nature and adventure centers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in a 360-degree view. The photographers of the exhibition are Timm Allrich, Ronny Blohm, Ralf Eppinger, Felix Gänsicke, Thomas Grundner, Martin Harms, Sven Lamprecht, Mario Müller, Peter Prast and Klaus-Herbert Schröter.
The hiking exhibition was already available in various places such as Berlin, Schwerin, Zoo Rostock, Zingst, Waren (Müritz), Dömitz, Sternberg, Sassnitz, Neubrandenburg, Stralsund and Zarrentin on Schaalsee. The outdoor exhibition is a project of the Network Natural experience centers in cooperation with Kur- und Tourismus GmbH Zingst and is kindly supported by the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Tourism Association.
Overall, the exhibition "Where nature is at home" offers an impressive representation of the natural beauties of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and invites visitors to discover the diversity and beauty of nature.
