Outstanding success of the City West Music School in the 2024 competition

Beim diesjährigen Bundeswettbewerb „Jugend musiziert“ in der Hansestadt Lübeck erzielten Schülerinnen und Schüler der Musikschule City West herausragende Ergebnisse. In den Kategorien Fagott Solo, Horn Solo, Gitarre Solo und Duo Klavier und ein Streichinstrument nahmen insgesamt sechs Schülerinnen und Schüler der Musikschule teil. Auf Bundesebene wurden ein erster Preis, zwei zweite Preise und drei dritte Preise vergeben. Bezirksstadträtin Heike Schmitt-Schmelz gratulierte den Schülerinnen und Schülern und Lehrkräften der Musikschule zu diesem großartigen Erfolg und lobte die gute pädagogische Arbeit und das Engagement der hoch qualifizierten Musikschullehrkräfte. At this year's national competition "Jugend musiciert" in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, pupils from the Musikschule City West achieved outstanding results. Outstanding success of the City West Music School in the 2024 competition

At this year's federal competition "Jugend musiciert" in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, students of the City West music school achieved outstanding results. In the categories Fagott Solo, Horn Solo, Guitar Solo and Duo Piano and a string instrument, a total of six students from the music school took part. A first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes were awarded at the federal level.

District City Councilor Heike Schmitt-Melz congratulated the students and teachers of the music school on this great success and praised the good pedagogical work and the commitment of the highly qualified music school teachers.

A look at the historical meaning of "youth music" shows that the competition has been helping to promote and make young music talents since its foundation in 1963. Many renowned musicians have started their career with “youth music”.
