Business Travel Track on the ITB: Transformation and Trends 2024
Business mobility is changing with high dynamics. And despite a variety of challenges, changes offer the opportunity to make business mobility forward -looking. How do industry experts see the chance for a successful transformation in the field of business travel? This year's "Business Travel Track" is devoted to this question on the ITB. The VDR (Association of German Travel Management e.V.) will be presented again this year at ITB Berlin from March 5th to 7th, 2024 in Hall 8.2.
The ITB Berlin Congress presents itself this year under the motto "Pioneer the Transition in Travel & Tourism. Together." On the Green Stage in the "Business Travel Track Powered by VDR" in Hall 3.1, industry insiders will present new concepts and strategies for the current challenges in Travel Management on March 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Right at the beginning of the lecture series, Suzanne Neufang, CEO of the GBTA-Global Business Travel Association, insights and views of global business travel traffic for 2024. This year it will show whether business trips will take place again worldwide and with the same dynamic as before pandemie times.
Mobility expert Ferdinand Hanika from Freenow for Business presents the results from the latest GBTA and Freenow study on current trends in business travel traffic. Sustainability is still an important aspect of modern business transacers, and the keynote offers practical solutions and strategic knowledge to also design the mobility of the "last mile" in the sense of environmental and climate protection.
Franck Monsauret, General Manager France, Dach, Northern & Eastern Europe at Uber for Business, shows how Travel Manager can be supported in taking into account the personal needs of business travelers and at the same time keeping an eye on CO2 reporting. Via a central online platform, business travelers have access to trips, food deliveries, environmentally friendly options and a simple billing method in over 70 countries.
Markus Seitner, Director Sales Marketing & Product Enablement Corporate Sales at Sixt, explains in his lecture on how companies can use digital processes, also with the support of artificial intelligence (AI) to increase service quality and customer satisfaction.
Eugen Triebelhorn, Managing Director & Country Head Dach near Travelperk, deals with the topic of artificial intelligence and reports on the positive effects on the business travel industry. It should be illustrated how an optimal link between "human" and "AI" can increase efficiency in the company again.
Another topic of the lecture program is the shortage of skilled workers in globalization. Kathrein Walter, Vice President of Growth at Visumpoint, and Rafael Larrazábal, Sales Manager International at Visumpoint, show examples of countries that have set standards with their immigration policy and were able to win qualified workers.
The Association of German Travel Management e.V. (VDR) represents the interests of the German economy with regard to the framework and competitive conditions for business trips and mobility. With over 600 member companies, the VDR is the business travel association in Germany. The aim is to create sustainable, efficient, economic, safe, unhindered and global travel options for companies.
